Interested in becoming a member of The Young Academy? Let your supervisor know
Are you a young scientist with a broad and committed vision on the (future of) science policy, science and society, interdisciplinarity, and internationalisation? Are you eager and do you have good plans to dedicate yourself to these themes over the next five years? And do you meet the conditions for nomination? I.e. have you obtained your PhD after 1 April 2015 (KNAW extension arrangement), do you have at least a passive command of the Dutch language, and do you meet the profile description as outlined in the regulations (in particular Art. 3.1 and Art. 5)?
Then make your interest in DJA membership known now to your superior and director of research or scientific director! They can then consider you for the Faculty’s upcoming selection of the two candidates who may be nominated per Faculty or Interfaculty Institute to the Executive Board. From these, the rector will then choose six candidates for nomination on behalf of our university to the KNAW/Young Academy.
