All researchers from Leiden University are invited to attend the afternoon event ‘Interdisciplinary collaboration in Leiden: discover the interdisciplinary research programmes’ on Wednesday 17 May 2023. The market will give you the chance to find out all about the nine interdisciplinary research programmes that were launched in 2020 and meet representatives. And in the plenary session, we will discuss the current status of interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside Leiden University.

- Opening by Rector Magnificus Hester Bijl on the role of interdisciplinary research at Leiden University
- Keynote speech by Lotte Krabbenborg (Radboud Universiteit, Institute for Science in Society). Krabbenborg will share her first experiences of the Young Academy pilot on setting up and conducting transdisciplinary research (webpage in Dutch)
- Panel discussion led by Maud Alberts with Hester Bijl, Lotte Krabbenborg and Jan Willem Erisman (coordinator of Leiden’s Liveable Planet interdisciplinary programme)
- Market, where you can find out all about the interdisciplinary programmes and meet representatives
