Perspectify: an imperfect art exhibition
The PERSPECTIVE project looks to address the concept of successfulness. What does it mean to be the ‘perfect student’, to be 'successful' at university and later in life. It explores perfectionism, setting expectations, performance pressure and more.
Through our art campaign and subsequent exhibition 'Perspectify' we want to encourage you to reflect on topics such as what is defined as a ‘successful student’, setting standards in academia, and perfectionism.
We are looking for art submissions that reflect these topics from students and staff!
While you may create the artwork in your own time, we are holding workshops with the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague on 11 and 18 October, where you will be able to use provided materials and get feedback and guidance from artists.
The exhibition is open to any type of art (sculpture, video, painting, music) though some restrictions exist. If you have any questions, you can get in contact with Zazie Franck (z.a.p.franck@FSW.leidenuniv.nl).
Submissions for artwork close on October 28. The exhibition will be at Wijnhaven where it will be opened on the 16th of November and stay for a week before it travels to Leiden.
