New Science Library Open
From study places to consulting collections and from a meeting with your faculty liaison to getting books after opening hours: the new Science Library offers it all. The library moved to a brand new location in the Gorlaeus building and will be open starting 15 April.
The new library offers 117 study places for students, including ten study places with a computer and 27 study places with a screen you can attach your laptop to. All study places are equipped with electrical outlets and USB hubs to charge devices. You can use your regular university WiFi networks while you work at the library. Requested books will now be delivered via book lockers and can therefore also be picked up after library opening hours.
The collections of the former library locations LMUY and Snellius can be consulted in the Science Library. It concerns four collections, with a total of 26,954 titles. The collection covers approximately 800m of books. The books are grouped by subject according to the Library of Congress Classification. The library also has a lounge area, equipped to consult the extensive journal collection.
