On 4 May, Leiden University remembered the victims of the Second World War from our university community. Alumni, students and present and former staff of the University came together for this Hour of Remembrance.

On Wednesday 15 February, the University Sports Centre raised money for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. The total currently stands at €2,490.

Leiden University aims to create a safe environment where everyone feels comfortable and no one experiences unacceptable behaviour. Should students experience this nevertheless, there are various resources that you can refer them to.

When you (accidentally) cause injury or damage to someone else, you are liable. The other person or party can reclaim his or her financial loss from you. With a liability insurance, the insurer will reimburse the ‘victim’ for the costs of the damage caused.

In accordance with Article 1.21 of the WHW, Leiden University is obliged to draw up a reporting protocol that students and staff can follow if they perceive signs that students, children, or staff are experiencing domestic violence or child abuse.
