New privacy law GPDR from 25 May: what next?
Today the new European privacy law will come into force: the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR replaces the Nederlandse Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens (Wbp). The purpose of the GDPR is to better protect personal data and to ensure uniformity throughout the EU.
