Appeal to staff for 444th anniversary Humanities
Are you proud of the education and research taking place in our faculty? Do you want to share your passion for the humanities? And would you enjoy tackling this task together with colleagues and students from different institutes and degree programmes? Then you’re the person we’re looking for to have on the Faculty of the Humanities 444th anniversary team!
In 2019, Leiden University will have been in existence for 444 years. Such a special anniversary calls for a special celebration. In the Faculty of the Humanities we are seizing this opportunity to show everyone, both internally and externally, what our research and teaching are all about and what our 444th anniversary means to the world around us. Or in other words: humanities matter in 444!
We are expecting a particularly festive year, which we want to plan and celebrate together with both staff and students. That’s why we are currently looking for enthusiastic staff members (both academic and non-academic) who would like to be involved from the beginning of the planning process through to the actual implementation. In the document below, you can read in broad strokes what the content of the current projects will be and what will be expected of the members on the various teams.
Do you think you would enjoy making a contribution in 2019 and at the same time getting better acquainted with the faculty and your colleagues from other institutes and degree programmes and utilising each other’s expertise? If so, sign up by no later than the 1st of Dedember for one of the project teams and/or the ‘ambassador pool’ by sending an email message to our 444 coordinator, Lyonne van Gaalen. If you have questions after reading this message, don’t hesitate to contact her.
