HR Next Level

In 2017, the HR Next Level project was initiated in order to improve and strengthen the level of the University’s HR services. The aim was to better fulfil Leiden University’s ambitions and to be better equipped to address the needs of its employees.

HR Next Level’s aim is to combine all HR departments into one Shared Service Centre (PSSC). The PSSC will be part of the University’s central administration and will be located at Rapenburg 70 in Leiden. This transformation will enable the University to optimise practical matters for instance through digitation and standardisation of HR workflows.

Our faculty’s HR department (Sandra Holster and Bernadette van der Meer) will transfer to the PSSC on 20 May and as a result move to Rapenburg 70 in Leiden. Until then, you can continue to contact Sandra and Bernadette for all your questions as usual. FGGA is the last faculty to transfer to the PSSC.

HR Advisors Joyce Maes and Jeannine Wellink and HR department head Vincent Wolters will continue to be employed by FGGA and will continue working at the FGGA locations in The Hague.

Starting 20 May, you can address all HR related questions to the central Servicepoint at the PSSC. For instance: questions about employment conditions, Selfservice, leave, payslips but you can also contact them to request an employer’s statement. The Servicepoint can be contacted during office hours by phone or e-mail.

The merging of all HR departments is expected to lead to more continuity in the handling of the workflow. By pooling all HR knowledge PSSC will also be able to answer questions more efficiently, thus improving service quality.
