Guest lecture Minister of Foreign Affairs Stef Blok
On Tuesday 10 December 2019, Mr Stef Blok, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, will deliver a special guest lecture at Leiden Law School on the occasion of International Human Rights Day.
In 1979, the first Policy Paper on Human Rights and Foreign Policy was issued by the Dutch Government. After forty years, one can look back at achievements and disappointments, at clear choices and dilemmas. With the lessons of history in mind, Minister Blok will talk about Dutch efforts for human rights that work and the challenges ahead. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session. The event, which is organised by prof. Rick Lawson, will take place in the Groot Auditorium of the Academy Building, Rapenburg 73. Coffee is served at 19:00 hrs.; the lecture will start at 19:30.
