From Blackboard to Brightspace: course migration Archaeology

29 May 2020

From the start of the academic year 2020-2021, Leiden University uses Brightspace, instead of Blackboard, as digital learning environment for all courses. The Faculty Implementation Team would like to use the upcoming months to inform you.

Brightspace online trainings options

Many lecturers have been invited for a Brightspace training. If you did not receive an invitation and would like to familiarize yourself more with Brightspace there are several options for you. Please take a look at the menu for the training and support options. In the online training you will learn how to prepare a course, how to create assessments and how to communicate with your students in Brightspace.

Preparation for next academic year

All courses for the upcoming academic year will be set up in Brightspace. For courses that already have an existing blackboard module the content for the course will be transferred
to Brightspace. New courses will we delivered without content.
When the set up of your course is completed you will be informed by the Faculty Implementation Team. You can then check your course.

If you have any questions regarding the status of your course or the use of Brightspace please do not hesitate to contact the ICTO-coordinator (Wouter Kool) or the central support team. See the menu for support options.
