Closure days on 4 and 5 May
On Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 May most Leiden University premises are closed due to Liberation Day. You have 5 May (Liberation Day) off, without having to take leave, unless it's in the interest of the University that you do work. The number of hours that you normally would have worked on 4 May are automatically deducted from your vacation credit. You don't have to do anything for this.
Access to buildings
If you need to work at the University during the holiday? Ask the reception if the building is open.
All Leiden University Libraries locations will be closed, including the current library books pick-up points.
Holidays and compulsory closures
The University has national holidays and compulsory closures. National holidays, such as Liberation Day, are not deducted from your vacation hours, whereas compulsory closures, such as 4 May, are.
You can automatically add the national holidays and compulsory closures to your Outlook. You can find the instructions here >>
