Roadmap for (re)Designing Flexible Education
To assist lecturers and support staff with the upcoming academic year and the challenges and flexibility needed to (re)design courses for online and in-person learning, the Centre for Innovation and ICLON have developed a Roadmap for (re)Designing Flexible Education. This roadmap is useful for any lecturer at Leiden University, and is a convenient and interactive text to consult in preparation for (online) education starting in September.

Click on the image above or visit this page to access the interactive roadmap, or you can download it as a PDF below.
The Roadmap guides you through 9 essential questions to ask when designing a course. It is divided into three phases of course design: preparation, delivery, and final assessment, and includes topics such as media, structuring tutorials, assessment, student communities, and hybrid models of education. Each question comes with tips, suggestions and additional resources.
Get personal feedback and guidance through the Roadmap
Lecturers who want more support for their courses can apply to the workshop 'Preparing for the new (online) academic year'. The workshop consists of 2 online meetings in which you can get personal feedback on your questions and plans after you use the Roadmap to design your course. Per workshop a maximum of 20 people can apply.
