Join the online Symposium Research Young Archaeologists (SOJA)
SOJA is a one-day conference launched in 2002 by students from Leiden University, where BA and MA students, PhD’s and recent graduates are able to present their own archaeological research to fellow archaeology students. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, SOJA 2020 will take place on an online platform on the 18th of September 2020. Keep an eye on our social media accounts for more details and updates!
During this year’s symposium, several interesting topics will be addressed, such as osteology, Caribbean foodways, Troy, Digital Archaeology, Biomolecular Archaeology, Silk Roads and Heritage in the Near East. Three to four sessions, consisting of two presentations each, will address research done by students from several universities. Due to the wide range of topics, there is something interesting for everyone!
If you would like to join the online symposium, you can sign up right away.
This will ensure that you will get updates about the programme, how the symposium will be held and other useful information. You can sign up until the 17th of September, 18:00. After that, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to send you the programme booklet in time, which means you might miss out on some very handy links!
More information on the topics and researchers presenting their work will be posted on both our Instagram and Facebook. Of course you are also more than welcome to contact us if you have any questions.
We hope to ‘see’ you on the 18th of September during our special online edition of SOJA!
