A transition to laptops

We are working from home and will be for a while. To take this new reality head on, Leiden University has decided to make the transition to laptops. Therefore, in the course of 2021-2022, all Faculty employees will receive a laptop. Since we cannot make this transition all at once, we will move forward in phases. At some point during the coming period, you will be contacted personally with details when and where to collect your laptop. 

The University provides either a laptop or a desktop computer, so after you received your laptop, we will discontinue your current desktop computer. Evidently, in the future we will be maintaining a number of desktops, for instance for guest staff, flexible workspaces etc. 

We will also continue to provide you with a monitor, mouse and keyboard. However, we will not provide any docking stations or port replicators.
