Information session
Thinking about submitting an application for one of the Comenius grants? Or would you like to find out more about the programme? If so, make sure you put Wednesday 8 June (from 3.15 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.) in your diary. That afternoon, Leiden University is organising an online information session to help you prepare for the forthcoming call for proposals.
There are three types of Comenius grants: the Teaching Fellow grant, the Senior Fellow grant and the Leadership Fellow grant. Each year, three themes are selected for the Teaching and Senior Fellow grants, with a fourth free theme. The themes for the forthcoming call for proposals (2023) are:
• Accessible higher education
• Well-being in higher education
• Working on the challenges of the future
• Free theme covering the entire breadth of the ‘Fit for the Future’ Strategic
Agenda for Higher Education and Research
There are no specific themes for Leadership Fellow projects. These projects should stimulate the teaching ambitions of the university or university of applied sciences as formulated in the strategic (teaching) plan of the respective institution.
Teaching Fellow applications can be submitted by anyone who meets the criteria. For Senior Fellows, a faculty selection takes place around the summer because each faculty or interfaculty institute may submit one proposal per round. The selection of the Leadership Fellow is now in progress, for more information contact Anna Terra Verhage.
It is expected that the calls for proposals for the 2023 Comenius programme will be published at the end of June or the beginning of July 2022. The external deadlines for letters of intent are expected to be at the beginning of September 2022. For Senior and Leadership Fellows, earlier internal deadlines apply.
If you want to know more about the Comenius programme, visit the Comenius programme webpage or the NRO website.
