Easing of BA/MA transition as a result of corona
Students who want to take a master’s at the Faculty of Humanities starting in September 2021 but who, as a result of the corona crisis, have incurred a delay in their studies may complete their bachelor’s at a later date. For a large number of programmes it is possible to submit the BA final assignment and, if relevant, the internship report up to 24 September 2021. There are a small number of master’s programme where students can begin their master’s programmes conditionally in September and complete their bachelor’s programme during the 2021-2022 academic year.
These arrangements apply to BA students at Dutch institutions and to EEA students.
In the same way as last year, bachelor’s programmes will shortly receive further information about the implementation of these arrangements. They will then inform their BA 3rd year students about the possible options.
Admission committees will shortly receive additional instructions about the procedure.
These arrangements give students some room for manoeuvre, but combining a master’s programme with several study components from the bachelor’s programme is tough and by no means ideal. The best advice is therefore to complete the bachelor’s programme in good time.
More information is available on the faculty’s general corona page.
