The KNAW Early Career Award is intended to support and encourage talented PhD graduates. The Award is aimed at researchers at the start of their career who are capable of developing innovative and original research ideas.

The KNAW Early Career Award is open to:

• young talented researchers who are considered capable of developing innovative and original research ideas.
• young talented researchers who, in the year of nomination, have obtained their PhD a minimum of three and a maximum of seven years ago
• and who hold a position at a Dutch university or a Dutch research institute.    

Deadline and procedures

Deadline for submitting the application is 1 July 2021.
