4 October: day off
This year’s Leidens Ontzet (Relief of Leiden) is on Sunday 3 October. This means the 3 October celebrations will be on Monday 4 October and that day is an official holiday in Leiden.
You do not need to work on official holidays, unless this in the interest of the University. You are therefore free on Monday 4 October without having to use your annual leave.
Buildings and services
If you do have to come in to the University, check at the reception whether the building will be open. All of the University libraries in Leiden are closed on 3 and 4 October.The ISSC helpdesk and the decentralized helpdesks are also closed.
