New content on Teaching Support website
The Teaching Support website is constantly changing. The staff from the Centre for Innovation (CFI) and ICLON have recently been working hard on new features for lecturers.
The main updates are as follows
- A tool overview (including a filtering system) of the main teaching tools that Leiden University has a licence for. This means not only general video tools like Kaltura Live Room, Microsoft Teams and Zoom, but also tools for collaboration, assessment and organising your teaching. For each tool you will find an explanation of how to use it in your teaching and what kind of licence is available (for the entire University or a specific faculty) along with links to manuals and support sites.
- A list of 20 inspiring and activating teaching activities for lecturers (including an extensive filtering system). These activities promote interaction and collaboration in the classroom. For each activity you will find an explanation of how and when to use it (for in-person, online or hybrid teaching), tools to support it and tips on implementing and varying the activity.
- Information and didactical tips on hybrid teaching, including the sign-off tool in Brightspace and a demonstration video on how to install the video kits in Kaltura Live Room, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
The Teaching Support website (for hybrid teaching)
The Teaching Support website provides information and support for lecturers and other staff members who are involved in hybrid teaching. It contains articles on the transition to hybrid and online teaching, an overview of available teaching tools, inspiring learning formats, didactics, FAQs, an overview of the support at the faculties, and training and workshops that you can follow. The information is regularly updated. Read more...
