Roundtable discussion Code of Conduct for Research Integrity

23 September 2021

In September, October and November The Association of Universities (VSNU) is organising a number of digital roundtable discussions about the experiences with the Netherlands Code of Conduct for Research Integrity, for the purpose of the interim evaluation of the implementation of the Code.

Scientist, policy makers and support staff of universities are invited to participate. The aim of these roundtable discussions is to collect experiences and possible bottlenecks in practice in the implementation and application of the Code. Based on topical discussion questions, participants will be invited to share experiences and challenges with each other and to come up with (new) ideas for further development.

The Code of Conduct includes duties of care for institutions, divided into five categories: training and supervision, research culture, data management, publication and dissemination, and ethical norms and procedures. These duties of care and the standards for good research practices form the basis for the roundtable discussions.

Registration

You can register for one of these meetings by sending an email to karadavut@vsnu.nl and indicate which meeting and which break-out room you wish to participate in. After registration, you will receive an email in preparation for the roundtable discussion with more information and the discussion questions that will be central during the meeting.
