Some software no longer available via Remote Workplace
From 30 September 2021 you will no longer be able to use the following software via Remote Workplace (Citrix):
- Microsoft Teams
- OneDrive
- Zoom
- Dropbox
- Spotify
- TeamViewer
If you use your Remote Workplace to access Teams, Zoom or OneDrive, for example, we recommend that you install these programmes on your laptop or PC. This will lighten the load on our systems, and using these programmes via Citrix is not actually more secure.
You will still be able to install and use the programmes locally on your University laptop or desktop. You can download Teams, OneDrive and Zoom to your managed or semi-managed workplace from the Software Center (for Windows) or Managed Software Center (for Mac).
Employees who work with SAP or Bloomreach may use Remote Workplace for their work. Do you want to take holiday hours or declare costs? In short, do you need access to Self Service? Then you can log in to Self Service via Remote Workplace. Use webmail or Office 365 for your other activities.
