Definitive CLA published
On Monday 18 October, the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) published the definitive Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) for Dutch Universities (1 January 2021 – 31 March 2022). The Terms and Conditions of Employment & Labour Relations team at the Human Resource Management Directorate is working with the decentralised HR advisers to identify what exactly the new CLA will mean for individual staff members. We already know this in general terms, but there are always specific circumstances that may require customisation. Where changes to legal status are involved (change from a temporary to a permanent contract), this will be communicated proactively to the staff concerned.
We are accurately and meticulously incorporating the new CLA into our systems. Please understand that this process takes a lot of time, so it may be a while before you hear something personally. This will not affect the effective date of any change in your contract.
You can find the press release and the definitive CLA for Dutch Universities on the VSNU website.
If you have urgent questions, please start by contacting your supervisor or your HR adviser.
