Time to recharge: join Healthy University Week 2021
It’s Healthy University Week at Leiden University and the LUMC from 25 to 29 October. A week full of activities to help our staff stay physically and mentally fit. Join our daily online energisers, follow a lunchtime lecture on why time to recharge is essential or register for one of our workshops on reducing stress, managing your energy or boosting your mental resilience.
Do you often feel exhausted at the end of the day? Are you unsure which healthy habits will give you a quick energy boost? Have you ever worked too long without a break? We’ve all been there before. The pandemic has fundamentally changed the workplace, but one thing remains unchanged: we need time to recharge! That is why the theme of Healthy University Week 2021 is ‘Time to recharge’. With a full programme guaranteed to energise you!
We all know that breaks and work-life balance are important, but the pressure to be productive often derails the best-laid plans to recharge and take time for yourself. At Healthy University Week 2021, you will learn why it is important to take time to recharge and will change your perspective on what it means to recharge. You will also learn skills to suit your individual needs. Remember, everyone needs a break sometimes. Taking time to rest and recharge is time well spent. So get recharging! Choose what energises you!
At Healthy University Week you will discover simple relaxation techniques and energisers, and learn tips and tricks on how to become a more energetic version of yourself. You can attend interactive workshops, live yoga and training sessions with the University Sports Centre (USC) and inspiring lunchtime lectures by Hidde de Vries, Kiki Vreeling, David van Bodegom, Mark Schadenberg, Klaas Koster and more.
The full programme is now online. Sign up soon because places are limited for some of the activities. All activities are free for Leiden University and LUMC staff.
