Manifesto and Conference on the Future of Europe
This spring saw the launch of the Conference on the Future of Europe. All citizens of the 27 member states of Europe are invited to think about how we want to live in Europe. A ‘Manifesto on Research and Innovation for the Future of Europe’ has been drawn up calling on the Conference to spend the coming months discussing and reflecting on issues relating to research and innovation. The aim is that research and innovation take a central role in the debate on the future challenges and priorities of the EU. The Manifesto has been signed by Leiden University as a member of LERU and the Coimbra Group.
