Have you already signed up for one of the Let’s Connect webinars?

4 April 2022

If you’re looking to develop your communication skills, HRM is holding three interesting Let’s Connect webinars in the coming weeks that will promote open conversations. All University staff can participate free of charge.

About the webinars

Effective Communication: connecting with the language of others
In this webinar, you will learn about different communication styles and how to deal with people with different styles.

The Active Bystander
In this webinar, you will learn how to respond if you witness unacceptable behaviour.

What keeps you from giving feedback?
In this webinar, you will reflect on what stops you from giving feedback and will receive tips on how to use feedback more often.

Webinar format: learn from and with one another

In each one-and-a-half-hour webinar, you will explore the topic in more depth and have the opportunity to practise with your colleagues. You will be given tips and tools on how to have an open conversation with others. This will help us work together on a safe, inclusive and pleasant work environment in which we are interested in, listen to and actively cooperate with one another. Register for one of these webinars and gain inspiration on how to improve your conversation skills.

About Let’s Connect

These webinars are part of the Let’s Connect toolkit, with interesting articles, training and conversation tools to help staff develop the skills needed for open conversations. This will enable us to work together to create a safe, inclusive and pleasant work environment in which we are interested in, listen to and actively cooperate with one another. This is very important because it is one of the ambitions of our strategic plan: Leiden University wants to continue building a healthy, engaged and learning community where we work together actively in open discussions, respect one another and contribute to achieving our ambitions.
