ERC Public Engagement with Research Award: vote for Mariska Kret

The European Research Council has announced the nine finalists of its Public Engagement with Research Award. Voting has opened to choose the public’s preferred candidate from among the finalists. 

Mariska Kret, Professor Cognitive Psychology, is nominated

Mariska Kret, Professor Cognitive Psychology, is nominated for her PhD Research ‘Bringing science to the zoo’, involving the public into the study of great apes emotions.
The award is designed to recognize and celebrate ERC grantees who have demonstrated excellence in public engagement and outreach. A prize of €10 000 will be awarded to the best applicant in each of three different categories: Involve (citizen science), Inspire (public outreach) and Influence (media and policy). The laureates selected by the jury and the winner of the public vote will be revealed at EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) on 14 July 2022 during the ceremony starting at 16:00 and livestreamed on the YouTube channel of ESOF.
