Experience less work stress: free activities during Work Stress Week 2023
If you can relax properly, you will be less likely to take sick leave, will concentrate better at work and will reduce the risk of long-term absence. However, a high workload can make it difficult to relax and avoid becoming stressed. Leiden University would like to help you with this! The 2023 Work Stress Week runs from 13 to 17 November and you can sign up for a wide range of free workshops, group classes and inspiration sessions, designed to help you experience less work stress.
Programme and registration
In conjunction with My Daily Lifestyle and the University Sports Centre (USC), we’re offering a variety of workshops during Work Stress Week. For this special week of events, we’ve linked up with National Work Stress Week.

Staying connected
How do you connect with others in a world where many more activities are remote? How do you stay connected with your colleagues, the university and society? Connection ensures that you see and are seen. But what if the connection is broken? If your favourite colleague leaves, for example, or if you’re transferred to another department because of a reorganisation. Lack of connection causes work stress, with all its associated consequences.
Work is much more than simply a job; you belong somewhere, have a social network and make a contribution. We provide connection in a safe setting, where you can ask questions, make mistakes, be critical and learn from one another. All of these help to increase your job satisfaction!
