Henk-Jan Guchelaar temporary member of LUMC Board of Directors and interim Dean of the Faculty of Medicine
Prof. Henk-Jan Guchelaar will temporarily join the LUMC Board of Directors and will also temporarily assume the position of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. This is in response to the situation created on 11 November 2023 after Prof. Pancras Hogendoorn temporarily stood down from his duties.
Henk-Jan Guchelaar is the current Chair of the Division 4 Board and Head of the LUMC’s Department of Clinical Pharmacy. In consultation with Guchelaar, we are looking for a solution as to how the current work can be accommodated.
Dr Alexandra Langers is also willing to support Professor Guchelaar in the Dean’s responsibility for teaching at the Faculty of Medicine. Dr Langers currently holds the Division 2 education portfolio and is a senior medical specialist in gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
