In 2024, the five-yearly prize of the Legatum Stolpianum will again be awarded in recognition of a dissertation defended at a Dutch university with a prominent ethical-philosophical component. The study to be awarded may be in the field of Humanities (including Philosophy, Religious Studies and Theology), Law, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Natural Sciences or Medicine.

The next prize will be awarded for work that has been defended as a dissertation or that has appeared in print in the period from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2023.

Nominations should be sent by January 5, 2024 to: faculteitsbestuur@law.leidenuniv.nl.
External deadline: January 14, 2024.
