The application round has been opened for both the Gratama Jubilee Gift 2025 of 100,000 euros and the LUF Praesidium Libertatis Grant 2024 of 2x 75,000 euros.

Looking across the borders

The complex societal issues of our time rarely fit seamlessly within the boundaries of a single field of study or specialisation. When seeking solutions to these challenges, it is crucial for scientists to engage in dialogue across the borders of their own domain and discipline.

To encourage this, the Gratama-Foundation, in celebration of its 100th anniversary, is offering a LUF grant of 100,000 euros: the Gratama Jubilee Gift 2025.The grant is intended for an interfaculty and/or interdisciplinary project that ties in with one of the nine interdisciplinary research programmes of the university. For Leiden’s young talent

Every other year, two LUF Praesidium Libertatis Grants are awarded to talented researchers who are considered capable of (further) developing innovative and original research ideas. The grant is also meant as a first step toward larger grants. All needed information can be found on the LUF-website.
