Where did the 450-bunting go?
On Thursday 5 June, you might notice that part of the 450 bunting has been removed in some corridors at the KOG. But don’t think the faculty’s 450 celebrations are over! Far from it… the best is still to come!
LAWLANDS
On 19 June, our big anniversary celebration LAWLANDS kicks off for all staff and students. Outside the KOG you can enjoy performances by our faculty talents and a spectacular closing act! But that’s not all – you can also listen to two 450 talks, enjoy good food and drinks, and join in with (water) games. Still haven't registered? Do so now via this link. Opening of the faculty year
On Friday 5 September, we will combine the opening of the faculty year with the alumni event Leiden Revisited at the KOG. In this anniversary year, you can bring your partner, family and/or a friend to this special event. The jam-packed programme offers wonderful, interesting and fun activities for all. Anniversary year finale
Our faculty anniversary year will come to a close in the last months of 2025, with the Cleveringa Lecture on 27 November and our Happy Holidays Drinks on 18 December.
Canal Concert
But to answer the question in the title above… the 450-bunting that has been removed will reappear for the anniversary edition of the Rapenburg Canal Concert. This free open-air concert to celebrate 450 years of Leiden University will take place on Sunday 6 July 2025!
