Facility, Organisation
Deconstruction of the Gorlaeus Faculty Office starts Monday 3 November
On Monday 3 November, the deconstruction of the Gorlaeus Faculty Office will start. The building has served as a workplace for many colleagues over the years but now is no longer being used. In the coming period, it will be gradually dismantled to make way for future developments.
Schedule
- From 3 November: installation of fencing and temporary road plates.
- Next: preparations for the deconstruction, such as disconnecting and removing installations, taking out floor coverings, and dismantling various units.
- From 8 December: relocation of the building units will start. These activities are expected to take around four days.
- Around 15 December: the road plates will be removed, marking the completion of the project.
During the work, you may experience some minor disruption in around the building. Naturally, every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience.
As the building is being relocated rather than demolished, all components will be carefully dismantled. This controlled process means that noise disturbance is expected to be minimal.
