New sun blinds for the Agora buiding: work begins on 7 April
Work on the exterior façade of the Agora will begin in the week of 7 April and will continue for about three months. Contractor Den Dubbelden will remove the old sun blinds on the west and south sides of the building and install new ones. At the same time, the concrete will be repainted. To this end, scaffolding will be erected around the exterior of the Agora in weeks 15/16. The actual work will begin at the end of April.
The work will cause significant disruption. It has been agreed that drilling may take place until 9 am. After 9 am, the work will cause less noise disturbance, but disruption is also possible during the day. This includes workers carrying out painting and/or installing sun blinds in front of the windows. Work will also occasionally need to be carried out inside the building. Den Dubbelden will visit the relevant areas and ask for permission to briefly disturb you so they can carry out some work inside.
All in all, this is a major project with a significant impact on the use of the Agora. We hope we can count on your understanding!
