Donate clothes for follow-up Femicide Monitor study

21 May 2026

Do you have good-quality clothes in your wardrobe that you no longer wear? Donate your unwanted clothes and accessories to the Leiden Parelmarkt by Friday 19 June. The proceeds from this vintage clothing market will go towards a follow-up Femicide Monitor study.

The Femicide Monitor is a research project by Professor Marieke Leim focusing on the prevention of femicide and increasing women’s safety. Vintage clothes and accessories are needed for the market. Do you have good-quality items that you no longer wear? Donate them to support this important initiative. Please ensure that all items are clean and in good condition, free from holes or stains.

How to donate your clothes

Bring your unwanted clothes to Oude UB, Rapenburg 70, Leiden by Friday 19 June, preferably in a sealed bag (such as a binbag) labelled with a sticker stating ‘Leidse Parelmarkt’, to avoid confusion with actual rubbish. Ask at the reception where you can leave your donation.

Interested in buying vintage clothes at the market? Leidse Parelmarkt will take place on Sunday 12 July, from 13:00 to 17:00 at Leidse Lente (Haagweg 4, Leiden). The market is being organised by alumnus Sophie Piers.
