A3 wing of KOG temporarily closed due to a leak
Due to heavy rainfall, a leak has developed on the 3rd floor of the A-wing (A3) of the KOG. Water has entered an electrical installation, resulting in part of the power supply being switched off for safety reasons.
Due to this unsafe situation, the A3 wing has therefore been closed off. Property Management and the UFB are involved and are working to rectify the cause and manage the situation further. The affected installation must first dry out completely before it can be safely put back into use. It is therefore not certain how long the situation will last. In the worst-case scenario, this could take 1.5 weeks.
During this period, work cannot be carried out in the A3. Alternative workspaces are being arranged in the KOG for the colleagues affected. Where possible, they may also choose to work from home more frequently. The Moot Court sessions that were still scheduled for 3 June on the A3 have been moved to the C0 corridor. A1.44 (Lorentzzaal) cannot be used either. Teaching and other activities will be moved to other locations. All those affected will be informed directly.
