Code red: KOG, Old Leiden Observatory and The Hague buildings remain open
Due to the code red warning issued by the KNMI for Friday 26 June, Leiden University has posted the following message: No general closure due to code red, though exceptions are possible. Below is the update from the Leiden Law School.
KOG, Old Leiden observatory and university buildings The Hague will remain open
At our faculty as well, the exams scheduled for Friday will go ahead as planned. The USC is equipped with effective cooling and ventilation systems. Our buildings in The Hague, the Kamerlingh Onnes Building and the Old Observatory in Leiden will also remain open to staff and students. Cooling measures, such as fans, have also been arranged for the extended-time exams at the Old Leiden Observatory.
Stay safe
We ask our staff and students to take good care of themselves and look out for one another. You can find tips for coping with the heat on the KNMI website. Students who, for health reasons, are unable to safely travel to the exam location are asked to contact their study advisors.
Questions
If you are a student and have questions about exams, please contact the Education Information Centre. As a staff member, please direct any questions to your supervisor. We wish everyone the best of luck in coping with the heat.
