Initial NSE 2026 results: upward trend in student satisfaction at Leiden Law School

3 June 2026

The initial results of the 2026 National Student Survey (NSE) are available. The NSE aims to provide prospective students with information on how current students evaluate their degree programmes. It serves as an important source for the Keuzegids (Dutch Higher Education Guide), which many prospective students consult when choosing their degree programme. The NSE also provides universities and universities of applied science with valuable insights to help them improve the quality of their education.

Leiden Law School

We see a consistent upward trend in the overall satisfaction of our students compared with previous years. This is an excellent result and a compliment for our staff who work day in and day out to maintain the quality of our education and support our students.

At the same time, the results show that labour‑market alignment will continue to require our focused attention in the 2026–2027 academic year. This presents clear opportunities to further strengthen the connection between our programmes and the labour market

NSE Dashboard

We encourage all staff to take a moment to explore the results in the NSE dashboard. This interactive dashboard presents the survey findings in an accessible format that makes comparisons easy. Users can view the results for each degree programme and analyse trends identified across the period from 2023 – 2026.
