The Leiden University Fund (LUF) is the fund at Leiden University. Support from donors enables researchers to conduct research in humanities, health, sustainability and other fields, and talented students and young researchers are given the chance to achieve their ambitions.

For researchers
The LUF has various opportunities for researchers:
- Academic projects (various funds)
There are general funds, as well as funds specifically for researchers at the Faculty of Law. These are available both to early-career researchers and to academics who obtained their PhD more than five years ago. (see Grant Terms and Conditions) - Organising an academic conference or workshop
For PhD candidates
The LUF also has various options for PhD candidates:
- Participating in a conference abroad
- Study trip abroad
