Join the plenary sessions and panels at the ICON-S Benelux Conference
On 26 and 27 October, Leiden Law School hosts the third General Conference of the ICON-S Benelux Chapter, bringing together around 250 public law scholars from the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and beyond.
This year's theme is Trust in Transition: Public Law in a Changing World. The conference asks how law can build and restore trust, when new technologies strengthen or weaken democratic accountability, and how trust relates to truth in an age of misinformation.
The programme includes three plenary sessions and 45 panels across four parallel sessions, on topics ranging from AI and digital governance to climate and energy transitions, the EU and (dis)trust in courts. The conference is supported by the Faculty through its four research focus areas, which run through much of the programme.
