Space and vacant property management

The Leiden University Real Estate Directorate is responsible for regular building and renovation projects. In addition, the Directorate manages vacant University buildings.

Space management

In addition to regular building and renovation projects, the Real Estate Directorate is responsible for managing the Planon space management database, which is used to register all buildings, rooms and renters. In some cases faculties can renovate or make changes to rooms themselves.

If you have any question about space management or if you wish to report a change in a room or building, please contact the Real Estate Directorate via  im@vastgoed.leidenuniv.nl.

Vacant property and rental

The Real Estate Directorate manages vacant University buildings. In case of long-term vacancy, the building is entrusted to De Vastgoedbeschermer (Real Estate Protection) who organise ‘anti-squat’ inhabitants.

Visitors and maintenance activities should be reported in advance to Bianca van Voorn via 071 527 3683 or bm.vandervoorn@vastgoed.leidenuniv.nl
