During the PhD Library Crash Course, Mieneke will give you an introduction to Leiden University Libraries, the wide range of specialist librarians and curators working there, and the various types of support we offer for PhD candidates. 

The PhD sessions at Leiden University Libraries aim to introduce PhD students to librarians, library resources and library services. Every session focuses on an aspect of the PhD trajectory, and what services, specialists and collections Leiden University Libraries has to support you in this.

The modules below are confirmed for the fall of 2021. All time slots are 15:15 - 17:00. Save the dates!

  • 5 October: Open Access & ORCID (Michelle van den Berk) 
  • 16 November: Digital Humanities 1 (Ben Companjen) 
  • 14 December: Digital Humanities 2 (Ben Companjen)

 The spring program will start in February. Thus far, a session has been planned on Research and Legal Issues, which will be convened by Erna Sattler. The other modules will be picked based on your feedback, COVID19 developments and available staff.
