For whom
For anyone who wants to grow (even more) within contemporary dance and is open to electronic music! All levels and all genders are welcome to join this course.

Content
Electric Contemporary is a mix of contemporary dance and electronic music.
In this course we will work according to a set order. We warm up the whole body, and then we do multiple exercises with a bit of improvisation. We will build it up step-by-step, so you will feel more and more comfortable doing it. Dance is about expression, so all is good! Finally, we learn a piece of choreography to electronic music. As a result, you will learn Electric Contemporary every week!

At the end of the course there will be a final presentation in a theatre, planned on 15 December 2025.

Teacher
Shanice Mitchell is a passionate dancer who loves performing, choreographing and teaching. She graduated from the Dance in Education programme of the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK), and has worked in primary education, secondary education, dance studios and other cultural organizations as a dance teacher. Shanice draws inspiration from different dance styles and genres to fuse it into her own way of moving. Her class is about creating openness to trying new things, having fun and enjoying the process.
