Playing with your devils: a presentation course

For whom
For anyone who wants to learn to speak in public more easily in a relaxed way. During this course you will receive concrete tips on how to deal with the little devil on your shoulder.
(The language of this course is Dutch. Individual attention is paid to students who speak English)

Content
Does the idea of ​​speaking in front of a group of unknown people or friends fill you with dread? Worried about forgetting what you want to say or not knowing how to handle your nerves? Then this course is exactly what you need!

You are asked to briefly share your challenges and fears regarding speaking in front of others.
Then, in the course, we will focus on tackling the problems in a physical, creative and fun way using methods from the visual and performing arts.

What will you learn in this course?
• You get a clearer picture of where you are right now and where you want to be.
• You get a better understanding of your own expectations.
• You receive simple and concrete tips that you can use to turn your chaotic devils into willing playmates.

Please note that you will also receive homework assignments during this course. These are provided with feedback by the teacher.

Teacher
Scott Blick worked as a professional actor/dancer with companies such as The Australian Opera Dancers, One Extra: Dance and Theatre en DV8 Physical Theatre. In 1995 he graduated from the Conservatorium in Den Haag as counter tenor and has worked as a singer, actor, director and choreographer for opera and music-theater production in the Netherlands and England. As well as teaching singing and acting he also workshops in verbal and non-verbal communication and presentation and team building to companies and university lecturers.
