For beginners en students with some experience in paintung and drawing.

Content
In this course we will draw plants, flowers, vegetables and fruit, in all their variety. Each time we explore a theme.

We work with various materials such as colored pencil, watercolor paint, fineliner, graphite pencil.

Attention is paid to shape, colour, composition and looking very closely.
And…..smell and taste!

The course includes use of material during the lessons.
You can buy materials for at home at Terpentijn. The first lesson you receive a LAK student card that gives you a 10% discount at Terpentijn.

If the weather permits, we will visit the Hortus Botanicus.
Access to the Hortus is not included in the course price.
LEI students, museum card holders and Friends of the Hortus have free admission.
LEI employees pay € 3.50, others pay € 8.50 per visit.


Teacher
The lessons are given by visual artist and art teacher Arjenne Fakkel. Arjenne graduated from the KABK in The Hague. She has her studio in Leiden and teaches in various places, including the Lakenhal Museum. She developed, among other things, workshops for people with dementia and their carers and is active for Kunstoprecept. She masters the Dutch sign language.
