This first session of the academic year 2016/2017 will be chaired by Liesbeth Rosen Jacobson. A presentation will be given by Christiaan Engberts. Comments will be provided by Girija Joshi (PhD) and Adriaan van Veldhuizen (expert).

Following the seminar drinks will be served in the Koffiekamer of the Johan Huizinga Building (ground floor). 

All attendants will be invited to take part in the discussion, PhD candidates in particular. Instructions will be in English. Main goal of the Graduate Seminar is to examine issues and questions regarding historical research which is or has been conducted at the Institute for History. All staffmembers of the Institute for History are invited. Discussions are meant to generate useful and stimulating input for all attendants. In order to prepare for the sessions participants are recommended to read a text which is distributed prior to the sessions.
