Matchmaking and working session on NWO-NWA call (Luris and LCDS research programme)

The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) will run a long term funding programme (2018: €70M, 2019: €108M, 2020: €130M) based on the Dutch Science Agenda (NWA). The programme aims to fund collaborative research related to the 25 routes of the research agenda.

In this first working session we will shortly explain the details of the call, but focus mostly on matchmaking, brainstorming and planning of grant proposals for the first deadline of 11 September. Potential applicants for the 2019 call are also invited to participate. The purpose is to achieve cross-fertilisation between scientific disciplines and develop exciting projects.

The Data Science Research Programme (DSRP) is a university wide programme, which aims to advance the state of the art in interdisciplinary Data Science research and to accelerate the use of Data Science methods at all faculties of Leiden University. The programme is associated with the Leiden Centre of Data Science (LCDS). The network of LU data science researchers may very well be a good starting position to build successful consortia.

Luris is the Knowledge Exchange of Leiden University and LUMC. The Grant Development team of Luris helps researchers with identifying suitable funding opportunities and preparing competitive proposals.
