Crowdfunding for research and education projects

Crowdfunding is an innovative form of financing that has been growing rapidly in recent years. Do you want to use crowdfunding for your project or research? Join the crowdfunding workshop for researchers and Leiden University staff on Thursday 22 November 2018!
How to start a successful crowdfunding campaign?
Crowdfunding can not only enable people to raise necessary funds, but also offers opportunities for marketing, knowledge and contact sharing and bonding with supporters, if used correctly. But it is not 'easy money': it requires a good proposition and smart campaign. Therefore, we organize a crowdfunding workshop in which you explore what crowdfunding is, whether it is something for you and how you can use it for your research or another project.
During the workshop we will lay a solid foundation for the (im)possibilities of crowdfunding, we will look at successful and less successful examples and show a number of useful tools to help you prepare your crowdfunding campaign. After the workshop you can make a well-founded go / no go decision for the use of crowdfunding and you will have a draft for a possible campaign on www.SteunLeiden.nl.
