From friction maps to climate curves. Agent behavior in a virtual landscape gains explanatory power when that environment includes ‘realistic’ elements. Using examples I will illustrate how realism can be added to a simulation. From abstract to highly detailed reconstructions, and I invite discussion about ‘believability’ of the models.
