Exhibition about Leiden University at LUMC

- LUMC Education Building

This year is the 444th anniversary of Leiden University, and we are celebrating this with the residents of cities of Leiden and The Hague. In the foyer of the LUMC’s Education Building, an exhibition can now be seen about the University and its links with The Hague, where medical students are also trained.
The exhibition consists of large poster panels and is open to all visitors to the building. Discover, for instance, that Campus The Hague is 20 years old already, and has rapidly grown in recent years to over 5,000 students and 17 master’s or bachelor’s programmes.
Links with The Hague
The theme of the exhibition is connection. The University actively engages with society and has close links to the two cities of Leiden and The Hague. Our research and teaching in The Hague therefore focus on fitting topics for the city, and we help solve problems at play there. We make sure to share our knowledge as widely as possible, through education for various groups, advisory bodies and lectures and debates. And our students and staff generally live in the city.
