Archaeology has been an early adopter of digital technologies, ranging from LIDAR scans, GIS and 3D models to video games, which has led to vast amounts of digital data. This changes the way archaeologists can explore and discover the past. However, this material comes with its complications, especially around archiving and providing access to ensure re-use for future generations. In this talk I will present examples of innovative archiving and re-use of this material to showcase how digital archaeological data is used, but also discuss how we, as archaeologists, can safekeep our digital heritage to ensure future accessibility and re-use.
